Menopause – new freedom begins
Menopause is a biologically complex process in and of itself. Considerable variations exist from woman to woman in hormone levels, hormone balance, biologic individuality, and general health. In menopause woman may experience many symptoms such as sleep disturbance, hot flashes, emotional instability, weight gain, bone loss, low energy and difficulties in relationships and life.
Symptoms that may be experienced are due to induced secretion of pituitary and lowered secretion of ovary hormones. Also, inadequate nutrition and lifestyle may aggravate the symptoms of menopause. Before menopause woman very frequently have un-ovulatory menstrual cycles. Ovaries secrete less estrogen and progesterone. Estrogen being an important hormone for reproduction also has an important role for non reproductive organs and systems in the body.
Cells of bladder, vagina, breasts, brain, bones and heart have estrogen receptors that are stimulated by estrogen and give normal function to these cells. Even though estrogen level drops rapidly in the period of menopause, this hormone continues to be secreted by the ovaries other organs producing the less potent form of estrogen.
Progesterone on the other hand significantly drops during the menopause as the main source of this hormone (ovulation) does not exist. At this point estrogen becomes more dominant in comparison to progesterone. Progesterone too has an important non-reproductive functions. It has important influence on nervous system.
Drop of hormones in menopause increases the risk of diseases such as osteoporosis, cardiovascular diseases, endometrial and breast cancer.

The following functional tests can offer important information for creating an individualized program for the woman approaching or in menopause:
Menopauza nije destrukcija ženstvenosti, nastanak osteoporoze, depresije. Naprotiv ako na vreme počnete da se negujete uživaćete u godinama slobode.
Sledeći funkcionalni testovi mogu da pruže važne podatke za kreiranje efektivnog tretmana menopauze.
Test Hormona(saliva): Estrogen, Progesteron, Cortizol, Testosteron, DHEA
Hormona(saliva) Test: Estrogen, Progesterone, Cortisol, Testosterone, DHEA
Bone Resorption Test: If bone loss is detected early enough, interventions can arrest loss and protect against future osteoporosis and bone fractures. Bone Resorption Assessment focuses on two collagen crosslinks with greater specificity for bone resorption, pyridinium (PYD) and deoxypyridinium (DPYD). PYD and D-PYD are excellent, sensitive and specific indicators of bone loss due to osteoporosis.
Mineral and Toxic Element Analysis: Lack of important microelements and minerals as well as contamination by toxic metals can cause reactions in the body that induce biochemical imbalances, immunological disturbances and overall health reduction and disease.
