PCOS Profile Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome(PCOS) is one the most common hormonal disturbances affecting women and is now recognised to be a metabolic syndrome.This often includes hyperinsulinaemia, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes mellitus amd possibly cardiovascular disease, as well as the more conventionally recognised symptoms, such as oligo or amenorrhea, hirsutism, acne, infertility and weight disorders.
How does the test works?
Sample requirements:
- 1x 10ml serum sample(taken between day 1-7 of menstrual cycle)
- 12x plain saliva samples taken throughout the menstrual cycle
